Customize Berri during your first setup
Onboarding Flow
When you first launch Berri, you'll go through a quick customization process to make Berri work exactly how you want.
Screen 1: Welcome
- Brief introduction to Berri
- Click "Start Using Berri" to begin
Screen 2: Customize Your PowerStrip
The PowerStrip is your floating toolbar that stays visible above all your apps. This screen lets you choose which features and websites appear in it.
What You Can Select
Features (Modules):
- Notes - Rich text editor for quick thoughts
- Clipboard - History of everything you copy
- Files - Browse Desktop and Downloads
- Browse - Web browsing with trusted sites
- Settings - Always included (cannot be removed)
Popular Websites:
You'll also see a grid of popular websites you can add:
- YouTube (selected by default for new users)
- Gmail
- Google Drive
- GitHub
- And more...
Keyboard Shortcuts
As you select features, Berri automatically assigns keyboard shortcuts:
- First feature → Control+1
- Second feature → Control+2
- Third feature → Control+3
- And so on...
Special shortcuts:
- YouTube gets Control+Y (if selected)
- Gmail gets Control+G (if selected)
You can customize these later in Settings.
Screen 3: Complete
- Onboarding finishes
- Berri transitions to PowerStrip view
- You're ready to use Berri!
You Can Always Change This Later
Don't stress about your choices:
- Go to Settings → PowerStrip Customization anytime
- Add, remove, or reorder features
- Add new websites or remove unused ones
- Adjust keyboard shortcuts
The onboarding just gives you a head start!
